Ghost Cousin’s 2011 Cross-Canada Tour is supported by the Edmonton Arts Council and The City of Edmonton.

Tomorrow night at Wunderbar, we release the official CD version of Landscape of Animals.  Joining us will be Layne L’eureux from here, and Locomotive Ghost from Nelson, BC.

It’s at our favourite venue, Wunderbar, and it’s only $5 to get in (or $10 if want a CD with your admission).

Good news!

Our debut EP, self-recorded in 2010 and remixed in 2011, has just come back fresh from mastering, and it’s sounding better than ever.  As a thanks to our myriad and stalwart fans, we’re offering this new and improved (and definitive!) version for free (or, if you’re feeling up to it, you can name a higher price) until we head back on tour in July.  But whether you choose to pay or not, we just want you to hear it.

This is where you go:

Download, listen, share with your friends.   That’s the GC Ethos.

Making remixes is both fun and educational! Here are two tracks from an upcoming Landscape of Animals remix EP:

Endeavour (killed-on-the-beach edit)

Otter Remix

Joe Gurba, president of amazing local label Old Ugly, has written a little bit about us, in preparation for a show we’ll be opening for at Wunderbar on April 30th.

Sez Joe:

These newtiming Edmonton young gunners sound like the Beatles ate Belle & Sebastien, leaned back, unbuckled their belt, and asked the waitress, “What’s the damage??”

Thanks Joe, we can’t wait for the show!

We’re under the microscope of a group of undergrad music students at University of Alberta, who have chosen us as their case study of a local band.  For the next few months, they will be conducting important research in the field of Ghost Cousin.

more developments will be posted here as they develop!!
